Tool Use Permission Form- Students enrolled in the Woods Technology Program at AHS have the opportunity to use different tools and equipment. They receive appropriate instruction in safe tool operation, and close supervision is maintain at all times. Although every precaution is taken to prevent accidents, a certain risk is involved due to the nature of the experience, age of the student, and the learning environment. I ask you to impress upon your son/daughter the importance the importance of being careful and working safely. This will support the instruction given at school.

At times placement in a woodshop is not the best “fit” for some students, due to any number of considerations such as health issues. The shop will be dusty and/or loud at times. If you have concerns about health or other issues and your student in the woodshop, please contact me and we will discuss what can be done to make your student’s experience in woodshop safe and enjoyable.
